A lacquer red plastic dummy dial cover, designed for use with any GPO 700 series rotary dial telephone.  This item is limited original vintage GPO stock and is unused and unissued and is believed to date from the early 1970s, so it has some markings from years of poor storage, these scratches may well polish out with suitable equipment. The dummy dial centre will accept a paper dial insert and opal cover if desired.
