GPO Brown 706 Telephone Blanking Button

The GPO brown 706 dummy blanking button is designed for use with all GPO 706 telephones from 1959-1967. Each button measures 21mm x 13mm and is available in a choice of nine colours - black, brown, concord blue, dark green, ivory, lacquer red, light green, light grey and topaz yellow.

The GPO 706 blanking button was originally held in place with a metal clip which runs through the button inside the case body; this metal clip is not supplied but a pre-cut plastic section is provided with each 706 blanking button to allow it to hold the replacement button in place.
