The black handset cable grommet is used to 'lock' the handset cable into the corresponding handset grommet. This item does not have the usual metal twist lock or the newer integrated plastic lugs, so a small drop of superglue can be used to secure the cable to the grommet and again to secure the grommet into the handset itself. A cable tie is included and (when cut down) will aid in ensuring the grommet is securely held inside the handset.
These grommets are hard to find, so we are offering them for sale even though a little extra effort is involved in using them!
