These terminal crimps are designed to replace damaged or missing cable crimps as used by the GPO & British Telecom on 700 series telephones. These crimps are self-piercing (i.e. they are fitted without the need to expose the wire strands within the individual cables), they should be fitted using suitable cable crimps although pliers can often be used with satisfactory results.
